AXA and AXA Mandiri Presents Star Kids
for Indonesia’s Young Talents
The importance of identifying a child’s potential since early age
Jakarta, September 9, 2014 – Every child is unique for each talents and potentials. With the vast options for education and future careers, AXA Indonesia understand the importance of identifying a child’s potential since early age. Responding to this, AXA and AXA Mandiri introduce Star Kids, an edutainment showcase, to explore, to train, and to develop children’s talents to help parents see their children’s potential and support parents in planning for their love ones future education.
Director of Alternative Channel AXA Mandiri Handayani stated, “Star Kids is AXA and AXA Mandiri’s effort to explore Indonesian children’s potential through a talent showcase event. Each child’s potential can be seen in academically at school or in non-academic activities and a multiple intelligence test is one of the method to understand a child’s various potentials.”
A research on multiple intelligence conducted by Howard Gardner reveals that human intelligence cannot be limited to only mathematics or linguistic, but in total there are 8 dimensions of intelligence which are Linguistic Intelligence, Logical-mathematical intelligence, Visual spatial intelligence, Bodily-kinaesthetic intelligence, Musical intelligence, Interpersonal intelligence, Intrapersonal intelligence and Naturalistic intelligence.
“Multiple intelligence test is one of the activities in Star Kids program to help parents understanding their children’s potential. Star Kids registration opens on 25 August to 30 September 2014 for children age 3 – 12 years. Participants can register through www.untukanakku.com or to send video recording of a child’s talent to PO BOX 1056 JKP JAKARTA 12010 or through drop boxes in Bank Mandiri branch offices or AXA Sales Offices in Jakarta, Bandung, Medan, Surabaya, Palembang, Semarang, and Makassar,” said Chief Operating Officer AXA Financial Indonesia Faustinus Warasadi.
In the next stage, Star Kids will select 21 talented children consisting 10 children per category and one wild card participant to perform their talents on Star Kids audition stage in four cities (Jakarta, Bandung, Medan and Surabaya). The audition in each city will award three best performing participants, and the best participant from each category will join training camp session and grand final stage in Jakarta. Eight finalists will perform live at the grand final phase to show their best talents, three best talents will be named Star Kids 2014.
The first winner will get an insurance product from AXA and AXA Mandiri valued at Rp. 100 million of premium, a holiday package to Singapore, a cash prize, and other prizes. Meanwhile, the runner up will get an insurance product from AXA and AXA Mandiri valued at Rp. 50 million of premium, a holiday package to Bali, a cash prize, and a sponsorship. “Other than receiving education insurance from AXA and AXA Mandiri, all winners will also get an personal accident insurance coverage under their parents’/guardian’s name with the total coverage of Rp. 25 million for two months starting from the date the insurance policies are issued.
